Formatting is important. Whether you’re submitting a piece of writing to a publication, writing a paper or managing a blog, formatting matters.
It came to my attention last week that some folks had a hard time reading the text on the previous color scheme. So, I decided to take another look at my formatting to see what I can do to make it a bit easier on the eyes.
Here’s what happened:
- Lighter background (I figured the loose leaf paper was fitting)
- Lighter color scheme. White is blinding for a lot of people, and I know from experience that black letters on a white background can trigger dyslexia. This seems like a good compromise. (I have updated the link color in the in-text affiliate program, but it may take a bit for the changes to show up.)
- Slightly larger letters
- Widened margins
So, what do you think? Is it easier to read? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it better?
I may be making more changes throughout the week, but this will most likely be the only entry addressing them.
