If you’ve ever seen Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2, Roxanne or Blade Runner, odds are, you’ll recognize this talented actress. She’s had parts in over 40 films and is an ongoing advocate for the environment. Before she started her acting career, she also studied ballet as well as singing and playing the keyboards in a small band.
Impressively, she lives what she speaks for through endeavoring to live off of solar power and driving a car with an engine that runs off of alternative fuel.
She is also on the Autism Spectrum, diagnosed with Asperger’s. Before she learned how to cope with the disorder, she was actually blacklisted by Hollywood, due to her difficulty in coping with people. However, she has since learned the skills necessary to make an impact on the world, and continues to do so.
Like many successful individuals who have overcome difficult, and often unfair, hardships in pursuit of their dreams, she had to find the courage to find her own way, despite what those who stood in her way thought.
Although Hollywood isn’t her cup of tea, she has found purpose in the fight for better treatment of the Earth. She has been arrested in the past due to her part in protests and lives on a ranch, where she nurses sick animals sent to her from shelters.
