HomeannouncementsCaptcha Issues

It’s come to my attention that new e-mail subscribers are required to fill out a captcha screen before they can actually subscribe.

I’ve figured out how to turn that option off for comments, but there’s no way that I can see to turn it off for e-mail subscription. I understand how frustrating that is, and I really hate filling those things out, too.

In an attempt to make the subscription process a little easier, I’ve started a Facebook page, added a link to my Twitter and added a few more feed options.

If you click on the drop down menus above, you’ll see the feed options. If you’re on Facebook, please like the page dedicated to this blog here.

If you’re on twitter and don’t mind some random shenanigans in addition to the topic of learning disabilities, feel free to follow me here.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience! I’m still getting the hang of all the ins and outs of the blogger platform.

Captcha Issues — 2 Comments

  1. I just wanted to say what an an excellent idea for a website this is. I used to work in a school for children with special educational needs and make most of my own resources. It is such a good idea to share your ideas and methods with others.

Also, it is very annoying about the CAPTCHA as they are so inaccessible but at least its a one time only thing and not every time you comment! I actually use a piece of CAPTCHA bypass software called RUMOLA which I used to use with partially sighted children at my old job! It just reads and fills them in for you without having to decipher it or, listen to the creepy audio! Maybe you could mention it on your blog because it is excellent for dyslexic people too! You can get it at skipinput.com

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Thank you so much! For such an influential population in the world's cultures, people with learning disabilities really don't get the support they need. I just hope to help someone, and share whatever new info I happen to come across. As you know, knowledge is power.

I'll check RUMOLA out, thank you! I might have a different option for RSS, which I also need to take a look at when I get a few minutes. Thanks so much for the tip.

    Take care. 🙂
